One thing that I have taken from this Genesis study is a clear picture of God’s faithfulness. Going through sections of Genesis rather quickly helped me see the bigger picture a little better, and it is amazing to see and ponder God’s faithfulness to the promises he made to Abraham. God truly is faithful to his promises, even when we don’t see them being fulfilled. Furthermore, God fulfills his promises in his timing and in his way, which is always the best timing and the best way even though we might not understand it (this is seen clearly in the story of Joseph being sold into slavery for the good of him and his family).
This is encouraging to me. God is faithful to who he is and to his promises, even if he doesn’t fulfill them in the time or way that I think he should. This brings me a lot of peace. Knowing this and that God is in control is a wonderful thing, something I ought not forget!
